Oh, how I love this recipe. It is really, really rich, however it is amazing when you eat it once in a while and it makes for a great plate to bring to a dinner party. It is a great appetizer ! How to know if it’s any good ? Put a little basket of breads on the table, then, place the plate with the warm brie, finally, watch people diving into it pretty fast. It is so easy to make, but it tastes amazing. Also, you can adapt it according to your preferences or your cravings. Even if it is the same basic recipe, it will never taste the same. I encourage you to try it with caramelized onions, cranberries or other types of nuts.

My advice : don’t take an expansive brie for this, because with all the other toppings, it might be difficult to taste the amazing initial flavors. However, if you want to taste the brie and only the brie, you can warm it and skip the toppings. Although, normally the toppings help to create a whole.

Ingredients

-1 brie (200 g)

-1/4 cup of minced pecans

-1/4 cup of pure maple syrup

-Bread

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

2. Put the cheese in a pan (that goes in the oven) that is just a little bit bigger than the brie.

3. Cook in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is warm and melting when cutting it.

4. Serve with bread.
